Today is thursday which means that is Book Traveling Thursdays, a weekly meme created by me and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. This weekly meme consists in picking a book related to the weekly theme that is announced in the group Goodreads page (if you want to join click here) at the beginning of each month. After that you can write a blog post where you explain why you choose that book and choose different covers from different countries. To make it a little bit easy you are going to choose different editions of the original cover, the cover from your country, your favorite cover, and your least favorite cover.
This weeks theme is Choose a book you would want to see as a movie or TV show. I have a few books that I would love to see either as movies or TV shows (*cough* The Night Circus*cough*) but because I already used that certain books for previous themes I decided to choose The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin because I loved the books and I think they would make great movies. So let’s see a few covers:
Original Cover:
I absolutely love this cover. All the covers from this series are gorgeous. I love how it’s dark and I love the font they always use for the title. And don’t even make me talk about the pictures used because they are beautiful. Basically I love everything about this cover 😀
Cover from my Country (Portugal):
This is another book that wasn’t released in Portugal yet so I don’t have a cover to show you.
Favorite Covers:
As I said before I love the original cover. I also love the cover from Germany. It’s pretty similar to the original cover but I like that it’s a little bit brighter. The only thing I would change in this cover is the font that they used in the title. Everything else is beautiful.
Least Favorite Covers:
This book has very few covers so the fact that these are in my least favorites doesn’t mean I hate them. I don’t hate the cover from China. I like that they used the original image. I just don’t like the colors used that much. I can’t say the same about the cover from Russia. What the hell is that? The image is not bad but that’s not Noah and that’s not Mara too. I really don’t like that cover.
So this is it, this week Book Traveling Thursdays. What did you think of these covers? Tell me in the comments 🙂
Ahh, Mara Dyer would definitely make an incredible movie… but to be honest I don’t know if I’d go see it, I get SO scared while watching movies, hahahaha. My favorite cover is the original as well, it’s gorgeous! ❤

I would get scared too. I just don’t like scary stuff. But it would make an amazing movie anyway XD

A Mara movie would be so awesome! I really need to finish the rest of the series. The original cover is one of my favourite covers ever. The photo is so gorgeous.

Russia’s covers are usually so strange. I think their cover art is very different than the one we usually expect? It’s a miss most of the times.
Here’s my post if you want to check it out. I also have a Russian cover as my least favorite!

I really need to read these series. Everytime I see the beautiful covers or anytime anyone talks about these books, I’m like: Come on! Read it already!
This year it’s gonna be the year. I hope.
I’m participating for the first time, so if you want to read my post, you can do it here:
