It’s that time of the week again when I bring you the Top 5 Wednesdays, created by gingerreadslainey and hosted by Sam @ThoughtsOnTomes. If you want to know how T5W works you can go to the Goodreads group by clicking here. This week theme is Literary Fathers/Father Figures. I think this is this week’s theme because Father’s Day is celebrated in most of the countries this month. Actually in Portugal it was celebrated in March 19th but it’s actually my dad’s birthday today so this theme couldn’t have been more perfect. I had a few father figure to add to this post but I managed choose only 5. Here’s my picks for this week:
1. Julian Blackthorn – The Dark Artifices by Cassandra Clare
Jules might be too young to have kids but he’s an amazing father figure to his younger siblings. By reading Lady Midnight you can see how much he cares and loves them and how he does everything he can for them and that’s one of the reasons I love him so much.
2. Lola’s Dads – Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
Lola’s dads are some of the most awesome dads out there. I read this book a long time so I don’t remember a lot about what happened but I do remember how much they love Lola and how it doesn’t matter if she’s not their biological daughter.
3. Ryan – Whatever It Takes by L.E. Bross
I can see a pattern here. I haven’t talked about biological dads yet. Technically Ryan is not a father but he’s an awesome father figure to Noah (his girlfriend little brother). I loved this book and I loved Ryan but one of my favorite parts was seeing him with Noah and seeing how much he cared about him and how much he wanted to help. This guy would make a great father in the future :D.
4. The Song girls Dad – To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han
And here’s the first and only biological father in this list. The Song girls dad is one of the coolest fathers out there and he’s pretty amazing. He has to be amazing if he takes care of three girls all by himself.
5. Jamie Fraser – Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon
I know Jamie will eventually become a father but I’m still in Dragonfly in Amber so I can only talk about his relationship with Fergus. I love those two together and how much Jamie cares about him and welcomes him to his house and family.
These are some of my Literary Fathers/Father Figures. What about you? Which Literary Fathers/Father Figures do you have in your list?
amazing list Cátia. I agree with all of them, except Jamie because I never saw him with Fergus, but I can totally see it.

I picked Lola’s dads as my number one and I was surprised that so little people did as well, so glad you saw their awesomeness too!

I had too. I felt no one was choosing him in every post I saw and he deserved to be included

I agree. I still have to watch season 2 too but I’m pretty sure he’ll be the same way.
