Book Covers Around the World #6

bookcoversaroundtheworld

Today I bring you again Book Covers Around the World. Since the movie Paper Towns is going to be released in the coming weeks I decided that today we will be seeing the different covers of the book. Also, if you want to leave some suggestions of which book should go next just tell me in the comments. So let’s start it.

USA/UK

What do I have to say about these covers? I don’t like faces in covers which means that I don’t like 3 of these covers. The others ones, I actually like and they are related to the plot. The only exceptions is the yellow cover. It’s too yellow.

Portugal

papertowns portugal

I have to say that normally I don’t like the portuguese book covers but this is an exception. I like how it has «paper towns». My only problem with this cover is that it is too dark. I would like a little bit more color.

Spain

papertowns spain

I like the first cover. It has the «paper towns» and it is colorful but the second one…. too yellow again. But I actually like that it has as town in the cover.

Italy

papertowns italy

I don’t like this cover at all. They could have done a lot of things but decided to have a coffee sign in the cover?? Why?? I don’t like it at all.

France

papertowns france

Once again, I don’t like this cover. It’s even worse than the italian. Why put a traffic sign on the cover? It’s weird.

Netherlands

BO - Aan de bal 3e

Is there a memo anywhere where they decided that the cover would be yellow??? Why? I don’t like it. It’s cool that they have a similar look to the original cover but it’s not that good.

Hungary

papertowns hungary

The hungarian cover is not that bad. I like the design but I don’t like the color (Are you noticing something common in all the covers that I don’t like??). This cover would be better with other colors.

Poland

papertowns poland

This looks like a comic book, or something similar, cover. I think it’s a weird cover for this book.

Russia

papertowns russia

I don’t want to be mean but these covers are terrible. I don’t understand these covers, especially the first one. They could have done much better.

Indonesia

papertowns indonesia

I love this cover. I like the design and the font used. The only thing that I would change would be the color. I would try to do a more colorful cover.

Malaysia

I don’t like this cover at all. It has nothing to do with the book and it’s weird but at least is not the worst one.

What did you think? Which one is your favourite? Don’t forget, if you want to see the different covers for one particular book tell me in the comments. It could be the next one.

T5W – Books that Feature Traveling

Today I bring you Top 5 Wednesdays which was created by gingerreadslainey. If you want to know how T5W works you can go to the Goodreads group by clicking here. This weeks theme is Top 5 Books that Feature Travelling . So let’s start it.

5. Paper Towns by John Green

I’ve read all of John Green’s books and I really liked them and if you’ve read Paper Towns you know that it has a road trip. This road trip was one of the best parts of this book and I really liked it

4. Just One Year by Gayle Forman

Willem travels, a lot. He goes everywhere so I thought that it was a good idea to feature this book in this top 5. I can name you a few places: France, Netherlands, Mexico, India and there’s more. And I loved this book so yeah, here it is.

3. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

I loved Outlander and this book doesn’t only features traveling, because they travel a lot especially in Scotland, but it also features time-traveling so yeah, it had to be in my list

2. The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

You have heard about The Hobbit right? Everyone loves this book and Bilbo and the dwarves travel a lot in Middle-Earth. It would be a crime if I haven’t included this in this top 5

1. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

What can I say to you about this book. We have a circus that appears during the night and no one knows how. I loved this book and practically in each chapter they were in a different place. So yes, this is my number one book that features travelling. And have I told you, this book is magical and amazing and I really liked it.

Books that Feature Traveling

So this was my top 5 for books that feature traveling. Who would you add to this list?
