Hi guys! It’s the last day of June which means that July is just around the corner. That also means we’re getting to the second half of 2016. How??. Because of that it’s time to see some of the books that are going to be released in July. Once again, if you want more information about the book click on its cover. It will take to the Goodreads page. Continue reading
It’s that time of the week again when I bring you the Top 5 Wednesdays, created by gingerreadslainey. If you want to know how T5W works you can go to the Goodreads group by clicking here. This week theme is Books You Were Spoiled For. I’m one of that persons who sometimes doesn’t care about some spoilers but most of the times I really hate it. Let’s see the books that made this list 🙂 Continue reading
Hi guys! Today I’m back with another tag. I was tagged by Cristina @ My Tiny Obsessions to The BFF Book Tag so thank you Cristina for tagging me 🙂 . I decided to answer to this tag today. This tag was created by Chantal @ CK’s Reading Corner and it looked really fun to do that I decided to answer to this tag today. So let’s see my picks for this tag 🙂
Hi guys! As you might know today starts the last week of 2015. Yes, next week by this time we will be in 2016. Can you imagine? This year went by so fast. Because of that this week will be dedicated to my favorites of 2015. It might be books, it might be TV Shows, it might as well be my favorite covers of 2015, I still don’t know for sure but I’ll have a new list each day. Actually, if you want me to do a list of something just tell me in the comments. I might like the idea and do it 🙂 . To start this week I thought that I should start with my Top 10 Favorite Books of 2015, however, and because I keep cheating in these things, I’ll be showing you not 10 but 11 books (technically it’s more than 11 because I’ll have books from the same series). So let’s see some of my favorite books.
Disclaimer: These books are books that I’ve read in 2015 and because of that some of these books were released before this year. Also, the books that I’m going to show are going to appear in a random order because I couldn’t choose my favorite. Continue reading
Hi guys!! Today is Blogmas day 16 and because this week Top 5 Wednesdays is related to Christmas I decided to combine both posts. Top 5 Wednesdays was created by gingerreadslainey and if you want to know how T5W works you can go to the Goodreads group by clicking here. This week theme as I said before is kind of holidays related and it is Top 5 Books to Read by the Fire (Winter/Holiday recommendations). Because I haven’t read a lot of holiday related books some of these books won’t have Christmas and Holidays as an important point in the story. Continue reading
Hi guys! If you don’t know today is the day that Winter is finally released! However I have to wait for my copy for about two weeks (damn it to not living in the USA or UK) and because of that I decided to do a post that is all about series. I was recently tagged by Keira @ Signing On to share with everyone which Series I Would Take to a Desert Island so here it is. Thank you so much Keira for tagging me 🙂 . This “tag” was created by Nicole @ AwayinNeverland. So let’s see which series are part of this list. Continue reading
Hi guys. Today I bring you another edition of Book Covers Around the World. Today the book series chosen is Harry Potter. Let’s be real, Harry Potter one of the best known book series ever so I needed to do this. Because we are talking about such successful books today I will only talk about some of the british and american editions because there are a lot, like a lot of different editions and I would have to stay here a whole week to talk about all of them. So yeah, today I’m talking about some of the british and american editions. Maybe I will do a post about international editions in a few weeks. But first let’s start this post.
Bloomsbury Children’s Edition
These are the original covers and I think that is common sense when I say that everyone likes these covers. These covers really represent the plot and story of each book and I like that this is something that happens in almost of the different editions.
Original Scholastic Edition
These are the american covers. I love these covers mostly because these where the covers that were used in the portuguese editions which means that I grew up looking for these covers every time I went book shopping. They were there every time. Once again the different images represent the plot for each book and I quite like it.
Bloomsbury Adult Edition
These are the first adult covers that were released in the UK. Once again each cover is right for the plot of each book but I don’t like these. I don’t know why. Maybe because they are to adult or because I’m used to the other covers. I just don’t like these as much. But at least these aren’t the worst covers. Want to see what I’m talking about??
Bloomsbury New Adult Edition
THESE… These covers are just terrible. These covers are the new adult editions and they are just terrible. I know that the background image is related with each book but that doesn’t help. I don’t like how different they are and how the only thing you see in these covers is the title and the author name. I don’t understand what the cover designers had in their heads when they did these.
Bloomsbury Signature Edition
Once again these covers are amazing and relatable to the plot. These would be best adult covers than the last ones. I like how these covers are designed and how they look a little bit growth up.
15th Anniversary Edition
These are my favorite covers. I really want to buy the box set. They are so amazing. And the best part is that when you have all the books in the bookshelf the spines have Hogwarts like this:
It’s amazing. Just tell me the truth. Don’t you want to have this box set in your bookshelf?? I would love to have it.
So this is it. What did you think? Which one is your favourite? Don’t forget, if you want to see the different covers for one particular book tell me in the comments. It could be the next one.
