Book Traveling Thursdays #26 – Favorite Book Couple

Today is thursday which means that is Book Traveling Thursdays, a weekly meme created by me and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. This weekly meme consists in picking a book related to the weekly theme that is announced in the group Goodreads page (if you want to join click here) at the beginning of each month. After that you can write a blog post where you explain why you choose that book and choose different covers from different countries. To make it a little bit easy you are going to choose different editions of the original cover, the cover from your country, your favorite cover, and your least favorite cover. This weeks theme is It’s almost Valentine’s Day! Choose your favorite couple. Once again this was a really complicated theme for me because I already used most of the books that have my favorite couples. However I was able to choose and for this week I decided to choose Outlander by Diana Gabaldon because you know, Jamie and Claire are amazing (especially Jamie ♥). Let’s see a few covers 😀

March Wrap Up

Hi guys,

For my first post I decided to talk about the books I’ve read in the month of March. March was a pretty bad reading month for me. While I normally read about 8-10 books a month in March I´ve only read 5 books.

The first book I’ve read was “The Distance Between Us” by Kasie West. I read this book because I was (and still am) in a reading slump and I asked in the Epic Reads twitter a good book for when you are in a reading slump. They gently suggested a book by Kasie West so I decided to read this one that was in my TBR for a long time. I really loved this book and read it in two days. It is a light book and I was in the mood for a book like this.

The next two books I’ve read in March were both written by Colleen Hoover. First I decided to read “Losing Hope”. Even though that this book had the same story has “Hopeless” (that I really liked) I loved to read it in Holder’s perspective. Then I’ve read her new book “Confess”. Colleen Hoover’s books are always heartbreaking but I have loved all her books that I’ve read.

You can see by the last books that I’ve been reading a lot of contemporary. So it´s not a surprise my fourth reading of the month was also contemporary. The book I’m talking about is “All the Bright Places” by Jennifer Niven. This book talks about teens contemplating suicide. This has been a very common subject in books this year and after reading it you end up thinking about this and about all the people who suffer from depression.

The last book I’ve read is tottaly different from the books I talked before. So, my last reading of the month was “Red Rising” by Pierce Brown. This is a YA sci-fi book that takes place in a dystopian world. In the beggining it’s a little confusing because of the world-building but when you get into it is an amazing book, and if you like sci-fi books you will love it.

I have also started the second book of the Outlander series, “Dragonfly in Amber” but I have yet to finish it. This books that a long time to absorb so I don´t know when I’m going to finish. What I can say about it is that I still prefer “Outlander”, but I still have 200 pages to finish and my opinion can change.

So tell me, what have you read in the month of March?
