Book Traveling Thursdays #25 – Bookish Boyfriend
Today is thursday which means that is Book Traveling Thursdays, a weekly meme created by me and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. This weekly meme consists in picking a book related to the weekly theme that is announced in the group Goodreads page (if you want to join click here) at the beginning of each month. After that you can write a blog post where you explain why you choose that book and choose different covers from different countries. To make it a little bit easy you are going to choose different editions of the original cover, the cover from your country, your favorite cover, and your least favorite cover. This weeks theme is Every book has a special someone! Choose a book with your bookish boyfriend. This is a really complicated theme for me because I have a long list of bookish boyfriends (really long XD ). However I was able to choose and for this week I decided to choose Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare. I think I don’t need to explain why (*cough* Will Herondale *cough*) so let’s see a few covers 😀 Continue reading

Summertime Madness Book Tag
Hi again 🙂 ! I was tagged by Cristina @ My Tiny Obsessions to do the Summertime Madness Book Tag (created by Jackeatsbooks) and because we almost at the end of summer I decided to answer it. Thank you Cristina for tagging me to do this amazing tag.
1. Show a book with a summery cover!
0
I’m stealing Cristina’s answer for this one and choose The Fill-in Boyfriend for this because I absolutely loved this book. Not only the cover looks summery but the book also has a lot of elements that remind me of summer so I had to choose this one.
0
2. Pick one fictional place that would be the perfect destination for a summer vacation!
0
For this one I’m picking Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. I would love to go to Paris and especially on summer so I needed to pick this one 🙂 . Also, this is another book that I loved and Paris is a really important part of it.

3. You,re about to go on a flight to your summer vacation. But you want to read a book that lasts for the whole flight, what novella do you choose.
0
This depends a lot of the flight I’m taking because it could be a short or a long flight. However I would try to pick a fast-passing book that I couldn’t let down while reading it. For that I would choose something by Colleen Hoover because I normally read her books in one-sitting.

4. You have a case of summertime sadness what happy book do you pick up to shine a smile on your face?
0
There are a few books that make me have a stupid smile on my face after reading it but most recently I finished Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon and I couldn’t stop smiling after reading it.

5. You’re sitting at the beach all alone…which fictional character would be your beach babe?
0
Do I have to choose only one?? That’s a difficult task but I would probably pick Will Herondale because I love him and he’s great and would be reading a great book at the beach.

6. To match your ice cream you want an icy cool sidekick! Which fictional sidekick do you pick?
0
This is an obvious one. I had to pick Patrick from The Perks of Being a Wallflower. The book is great and Patrick is great. I would have so much fun if he was my sidekick (also, this is an excuse to have Logan Lerman’s beautiful face on my blog 😀 ).

7. Share the summertime happiness! Who do you tag?
This tag has been around for a long time so I’m not tagging anyone in particular because I’m pretty sure that almost everyone has already answered to this tag. I’m tagging everyone you wants to do this tag so if you end up doing it just tell me in the comments 😀 .
Book Covers Around the World #4
Today I bring you again Book Covers Around the World. Today we will be seeing the different covers of The Infernal Devices. This is one of my favorite series and I thought that these were good books to analyze the different covers. Also, if you want to leave some suggestions of which book should go next just tell me in the comments. So let’s start it.
United States (Original Covers)
I love these covers. I especially like the fact that they match with The Mortal Instruments. I normally don’t like faces in covers, as I said before, but these are absolutely stunning and it’s impossible not to love them. Another thing I love in these covers is that the persons in the covers actually represent the main characters and you know that sometimes that doesn’t happens.
United States (New Covers)
These are the new covers that are going to be released in September. Once again I think that these covers are amazing and the concept is pretty cool. I don’t like the yellow fonts that much but according to Cassandra Clare the font will be in gold but it’s not possible to show that in the computer so I’m pretty excited to see how the final look will be.
Portugal
The portuguese covers are basically like the original covers. The only difference is the font used for the book title. I don’t know why but I like this font better than the original but this is only my opinion. Covers for Spain and Mexico (and I think that Brazil too) are the same as the portuguese covers. I think that the only difference might be the font colour.
Germany
I like these covers but I have a problem with them. They look more like covers for child/middle-grade books and I think that it’s a little bit weird. But they are still beautiful covers and are not the worst of the covers that I’m going to be showing.
Italy
I told you there were worst covers. I really don’t like the italian covers. I think that they are a little bit weird and they don’t remind me of the characters.
Slovakia
More weird covers. I understand their idea of using Tessa’s necklace in the cover but I don’t think that they accomplished their idea. I just think that it ended up not looking that good.
Estonia
I don’t know if I like these covers or not but I can tell you something, the angel in the Clockwork Angel reminds me of the Weeping Angels from Doctor Who. If you watch Doctor Who you may know that they are really scary so this covers scares me a little bit. The second cover reminds me of Johnny Depp in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the last cover just don’t seems something from The Infernal Devices. I don’t think that the girl’s dress is really right for a book that takes place in the late 1800s. Well, I don’t like the covers.
What did you think? Which one is your favourite? Don’t forget, if you want to see the different covers for one particular book tell me in the comments. It could be the next one.
