Hi guys! As you can see, it’s the end of another month which means it’s time for my monthly feature Beyond the Books where I talk about all the random things I’ve been watching or loving during that month. Am I the only one who thinks January has been the longest month? I’m already unmotivated as it is so I don’t need a super long month. Anyway, here are a few things I watched and did this past month talk about.
Free! Eternal Summer
January was finally the month when I finished Free! Eternal Summer. I’ve been delaying this for way too long without a reason but it’s done and I can’t wait for what’s coming next. I’m ready!!!
Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card
Guys! Cardcaptor Sakura is back!!! This anime was a big part of my childhood and beginning of teen years so I was so happy when I first heard about the new series. I only watched the first two episodes but I’m so excited for the next ones… however, random fact, I’m not used to hear them talking in japanese. This is what happened when you grow up watching Sakura in portuguese XD.
Just Between Lovers
January was also the month when I decided it was time to dive in k-dramas. I keep hearing people talking about it so why not try it? After looking for a few ones I might like and asking on twitter for some recommendations I ended up starting Just Between Lovers and I’m in love. I’m still on episode 6 and I already wanted to cry for about 500 times… at least. Goblin, I’m coming for you next :P.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle
Have I told you that January wasn’t the best month for me?? Here’s one of the reasons… I was without TV and internet for a week and it stressed me out so much. Stupid provider who took so long to fix a damn problem that they created -_-‘. Anyway, I was so bored during that week that I went to the movies and watched the new Jumanji. Look, it was way better than what I was expecting and I actually enjoyed. It was also hilarious which is always a must.
I won’t even try to talk about music this month because my BTS obsession is far from over. Why do I love those guys so much???? THey are so precious… especially Min Yoongi. Anyway, that’s what I’ve been listening during January. Actually, guess what I’m listening to while writing this post?? If you said BTS you’re 100% right XD.
Here’s what I’ve been doing Beyond the Books during the month of January. I’ll be back next month to see with I ended up doing. If you like any of the things that I’ve talked about don’t forget to comment too so we can fangirl about it :D. And if you have any recommendation don’t forget to tell me in the comments.
I enjoyed Jumanji too. It made me laugh. I didn’t expect much from it but it was entertaining and relaxing.

I knew Cardcaptor returned but there’s a new season of Free! too? Oh man so many of my friends really enjoyed that show that I’m surprised I’m just hearing about it now. Also, I was pleasantly surprised by Jumanji 2! I wasn’t sure how they would handle it (and though if I was being really picky, the mission/clues did feel wildly different than the rampant joy from the boardgame) but I was pleasantly surprised. I was also lowkey hoping the Jonas brother would be…not old. Alas.

BTS ❤ I loved Free Eternal Summer, too. I think a third season is coming out?

I haven’t had the time to watch Cardcaptor Sakura yet, but I’m so excited for it! I did start to read the manga last year, but I’m behind on that one as well haha. I can’t wait to finally watch it 😀
