Today is thursday which means that is Book Traveling Thursdays, a weekly meme created by me and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. This weekly meme consists in picking a book related to the weekly theme that is announced in the group Goodreads page (if you want to join click here) at the beginning of each month. After that you can write a blog post where you explain why you choose that book and choose different covers from different countries. To make it a little bit easy you are going to choose different editions of the original cover, the cover from your country, your favorite cover, and your least favorite cover.
This week’s theme is Throwback Thursday. Choose a book you read years ago. This week I decided to choose a book I read almost 10 years ago. I used to be a huge fan of Sarah Addison Allen’s books. I kind of grew out of it but I still loved her books and all the magic realism aspects on it. So today I decided to choose The Girl who Chased the Moon. I still remember how much I loved this one back then.
I quite like the original cover. It’s not my favorite but it’s still pretty cute and I love the magical aspect on it.
Cover from my Country (Portugal):
Sarah Addison Allen’s books have gorgeous covers here in Portugal. o be honest, this is my least favorite of the bunch. I think this one is kind of weird and the photoshop doesn’t work at all. However, it’s not a bad cover.
This has to be my favorite cover without any doubt. It’s such a cute and magical cover. I love everything about it but my favorite thing is the composition and how the girl is in the cover.
Least Favorite Cover:
WTF Czech Republic?? What kind of weirdness is that?? I really don’t like this one at all. It looks kind of cheap and the girl looks kind of death which creeps me out.
So this is it, this week Book Traveling Thursdays. What did you think of these covers? Tell me in the comments 🙂
