Today is thursday which means that is Book Traveling Thursdays, a weekly meme created by me and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. This weekly meme consists in picking a book related to the weekly theme that is announced in the group Goodreads page (if you want to join click here) at the beginning of each month. After that you can write a blog post where you explain why you choose that book and choose different covers from different countries. To make it a little bit easy you are going to choose different editions of the original cover, the cover from your country, your favorite cover, and your least favorite cover.
This week’s theme is New beginnings… Choose a book you would like to read for the first time again. There are a lot of books I would love to read for the first time but I already used most of them so today I’m going to go with Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. Let’s see some covers for this book:
Original Cover:
this is one of those covers that had to grow on me but right now I love it. I was not a huge fan of the yellow at the beginning but that’s because normally I don’t like yellow that much. Now I love the look of this cover and I love the color combination. It works.
Favorite Covers:
As I said before I really like the original cover. I also really the paperback cover that is going to be released this year. To be honest, I hated this cover when I first saw it but it also grew on me. I really like it now and it’s different from the covers we are used to see for Rainbow Rowell’s books. Also, the art is incredible.
Least Favorite Cover:
I don’t hate this cover… for me it’s kind of cute but this book only has three different styles of covers and from the three this is my least favorite. I just think it’s missing something.
So this is it, this week Book Traveling Thursdays. What did you think of these covers? Tell me in the comments 🙂
I WANT THE NEW PAPERBACK COVER SO MUCH! The style of drawing is kinda like the one from the bookmark I sent you.

It is but the bookmark is better because the guy looks like Rhys and Rhys is better than Simon and Baz XD

Hey! I am gonna try and keep up with this weekly thing again because it’s really awesome, but I wonder, what’s the easiest way to search for the covers from different countries? Sorry if that is a stupid question 🙂

It’s okay :). I normally do the same Cristina said. I just go to the book in Goodreads and see the different editions in there

I actually like the paperback cover best. I’m going to read Carry On this year, so I hope it’s as exciting as Fangirl led me to believe.

In the new paperback cover, Baz looks like Snape, and Simon looks like Newt Scamander for me, which is why that cover still needs to warm up to me a bit.

Hahaha… I never noticed that but you’re kind of right

I’ve read this book and really liked it! I love the covers too! Covers really put me off reading a book sometimes, but I think these are good!

I am freaking out over that new cover. Even though I have a copy of this book, I am seriously considering buying it just to have Simon and Baz on it ahhhhh 😀

the one which is least favorite, coz it’s quite appealing. By the way, recently I had an amazing adventure road trip to the World’s highest motorable road, you may like to check it out : http://wp.me/p8p4rd-v9

I like the the colorful version better, I think it stands out more, but still looks nice. I just started reading Carry On after reading Fangirl, and I already don’t want it to end. It’s incredible. It’s definitely one of those that are going to be with me for a long time!
