The Two-Night One-Night Stand by Ryan Ringbloom – eARC Review

The Two-Night One-Night StandPublication Date:

September 29th, 2016

Publisher:

Ryan Ringbloom

Goodreads Synopsis:

A girl. A guy. And a talking peen.

Holly Martin isn’t the type to have a one-night stand. But a crushing break up, a sexy blind date, and a few shots of Fireball is about to change all that.

Matthew Daniels is an introverted PA who claims he’s too busy to date. But that doesn’t stop his older brothers from encouraging him to let loose and get out there, because as they put it – the right girl won’t just walk up to you.

But what if she does?

Is it possible for a one-night stand that happens twice, to actually become more? Could two nights of reckless debauchery actually lead to true love? Or is this just another case of a whisky induced disaster?

This Romantic Comedy is sure to have you laughing, cringing, rolling your eyes, shouting at the pages and looking for a shot glass of your own.

Once again this was a buddy read with Cristina @ My Tiny Obsessions (well, kind of, because someone finished the book before I managed to start it XD) so click HERE to read her thoughts about this book :).

When I read the blurb for this book on NetGalley I knew right away that it was probably a funny read and guess what?? I was right because this one was super funny and I really enjoyed it. This book really had a rom-com vibe and I wouldn’t mind to watch something like this because it would be hilarious.

I really liked the characters in this one but I especially liked Matthew and his family. Matthew was really different from the guys we’re used to see in romance books. He was adorable and shy and I loved to see how awkward he could be around girls. Also, he had funny conversations with Peen that made me laugh a lot… and I’m pretty sure who Peen is XD. It was really funny and I really liked him. As I said before, I also loved his family. They didn’t show up that much but they seemed to be such a great family who really loves each other and who also likes to give a hard time to the baby of the family. I really enjoyed the dynamic between them. I also liked Holly but I still had a few problems with her. I really enjoyed the fact that she was doing what she loved to do and the ended up take the lead of her life after a failed relationship but sometimes she could really be frustrating and I didn’t like how she treated Matthew and the whole “Two-Night One-Night Stand” thingy.

I think those two were great together and they were super cute but this book was lacking a little bit of character development. However, that’s something that doesn’t get me mad in this case because this was a super fast and super short book so it worked. I just would have liked to see them together and talking a little bit more.

Overall, this was a really fast and enjoyable read. If you have some free time, don’t know what to read and want something light and funny you should give this one a try because it won’t disappoint you.
