It’s that time of the week again when I bring you the Top 5 Wednesdays, created by gingerreadslainey and hosted by Sam @ThoughtsOnTomes. If you want to know how T5W works you can go to the Goodreads group by clicking here. This week theme is Favorite Publishers:
– I thought this topic would be a cool way to examine what we read and what publishers put out our favorite books. I encourage you to take a look at your shelf and figure out which books come from which publishers. I think you’d be surprised how many probably end up coming from the same publishing house! Plus, this is your chance to introduce us to some of your favorite small presses or imprints. We talk about the contents or the wrappings of books a lot in this group, but rarely do we talk about the people that bring them together. –
I’m kind of loving the theme for this week. I just think that I didn’t use to care a lot about the publishers but recently I’ve been taking a little bit more attention to who publishes the books I read, especially on NetGalley. I just think we need to acknowledge the awesome publishers who bring us some of our favorite books. Because I read a lot of books I request on NetGalley I’m going to talk only about some of my favorites publishers from whom I requested books.
Entangled
I think it doesn’t come as a surprise as much I love Entangled. Either is their young adult books, especially if the books are from Entangled: Crush, or their new adult books I just love Entangled and you can be sure that at least 95% of the times I’ll love their books. Also, if you love romances you really need to give their books a chance.
SOURCEBOOKS Fire
SOURCEBOOKS Fire is one of those publishers than I know that I’ll love all of their books. It’s not that easy for me to have my requests approve by them but when I do I do love the books. They just have some awesome young adult books.
Random House Children’s
I’m pretty sure all of you have heard about Random House and how awesome their books are. I just love their choices and their covers are also amazing. This is another publisher I’ll go to if I’m in need of some young adult reads, either is fantasy, historical fiction or even contemporary.
St. Martin’s Press
This is another one of those publishers where I go to either for young adult or new adult. St. Martin’s Press has a lot of different imprints and there’s always something I love and that I’ll want to read. Where do you think I get my Jamie Howard’s books from?? Let me tell you that those books always make me happy.
Victory Editing
Victory Editing is quite different from the other publishers. This is a group of independent authors publishing a wide variety of fiction and I love them about them because I can know more authors because of that. Also, Victory Editing is also the reason why I first found the Chasing the Dreams series and I just love those series. Can I have the last book now, please??
These are some of my Favorite Publishers. What about you? What did you include in your tops this week?
I have had great experiences with Sourcefire and Random House on multiple occasions 😊

I only have ever heard about Random House and St. Martin’s, I really need to look up the others. Macmillan is definitely one of my favorites though! 😀

I love this twist on T5W. I don’t really pay attention to most publishers- but I feel if I did that with NetGalley I’d have more wins and fewer misses. Wonderful idea! I will now be stalking all these publishers. 😜
