Today is thursday which means that is Book Traveling Thursdays, a weekly meme created by me and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. This weekly meme consists in picking a book related to the weekly theme that is announced in the group Goodreads page (if you want to join click here) at the beginning of each month. After that you can write a blog post where you explain why you choose that book and choose different covers from different countries. To make it a little bit easy you are going to choose different editions of the original cover, the cover from your country, your favorite cover, and your least favorite cover.
This week’s theme is Sometimes we get great recommendations… Choose a book someone recommended to you that you loved. For once I actually knew right away which book I wanted to use. Normally I have always the same person recommending me books. Cristina @ My Tiny Obsessions has a big list of books I should read and because we love mostly the same books I trust her opinion. That’s why I knew I would love the Off-Campus series by Elle Kennedy as much as she did and that’s why I have to use of the Off-Campus books today. So yeah, today I’m choosing The Score because it’s my favorite book in the series… also because Dean Di-Laurentis is awesome and I love him. So let’s see some covers for this book:
Original and Favorite Cover:
You can’t say whatever you want about covers with guys bodies on it but I actually love the covers in this series and I love this one. It looks really good not only because of the picture but also because of the overall aesthetic. I really like the monochromatic tones with only a little splash of color with the title. It looks really good and I love it so it’s my favorite without any doubt.
Cover from my Country (Portugal):
Surprisingly this series is already out in Portugal but this one was not released yet so I have no cover to show to you.
Least Favorite Covers:
US Re-edition – Spain – France
I don’t know why but I’m not really happy with the new covers for this series. I just like the original one better. The spanish one has the same problem I have with most of the covers… the people. I don’t like it and I don’t really like the overall look. Now let’s talk about the cover from France. The had the opportunity to do something good by keeping the original cover but why did they have to change the colors?? That looks like a bad photoshop job and I don’t like it.
So this is it, this week Book Traveling Thursdays. What did you think of these covers? Tell me in the comments 🙂
The original Abs Edition is still my favorite, too.

The original one is totally the best. I mean, who doesn’t want to look at that figure? That said, I can understand why people might not feel comfortable carrying a book with a half naked man on it around in public. Particularly in the US, we are judgmental and prudish. I think that’s why there is the alt US cover!
