Today is thursday which means that is Book Traveling Thursdays, a weekly meme created by me and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. This weekly meme consists in picking a book related to the weekly theme that is announced in the group Goodreads page (if you want to join click here) at the beginning of each month. After that you can write a blog post where you explain why you choose that book and choose different covers from different countries. To make it a little bit easy you are going to choose different editions of the original cover, the cover from your country, your favorite cover, and your least favorite cover.
This weeks theme is Everyone loves music. Choose a book where music is a big part of the story. It turns out I have read a few books that feature music and I haven’t use any of them yet. Because of that I had a few choices but in the end I ended up chosing Where She Went by Gayle Forman. I know this is book 2 but because I think music is more important in this one rather than in If I Stay sp in the end I went with this one. So let’s see a few covers:
Original Cover:
I don’t hate this cover. I have a lot of problems with faces in covers but this one is not that bad. I like the colors used and the cover style. And I also like that it has a similar feel to the cover of If I Stay.
Covers from my Country (Portugal):
It turns out there are two different editions of Where She Went in Portugal and I had no idea. It’s the first time I’m seeing the first one. I really don’t like the first cover. I don’t like the colors and I don’t like the couple. I also don’t like the font used. However, I kind of like the second one. I like that it’s similar to the original cover.
Favorite Covers:
I don’t love any of the covers for this book but my favorites ones are the US and the UK. I already talked about the US one so I’m only talking about the UK cover. I like that cover. I really like the squares thing used and the picture chosen is not bad.
Least Favorite Covers:
I really don’t like these covers for a lot of reasons. Most of them I don’t like because of the models chosen. I really don’t like it, especially the French cover because it looks like it has a bad case of Photoshop. The cover from Indonesia is not bad but it doesn’t feel YA for me and it kind of reminds me of a Nicholas Sparks cover.
So this is it, this week Book Traveling Thursdays. What did you think of these covers? Tell me in the comments 🙂

The one you say is from Germany is definitely some other language
I have the German one at home (don’t ask me why I read those two books in German … it was a weird incident where I was bored at the register of a bookstore, saw it lying there, read Oregon and bought it … The 2nd one mind you and then read the first book sometime later). This is the real one:

You read the 2nd one before the 1st? Hahaha

Yep, I did. It was not very clearly stated that this was the sequel to anything … so, that’s why. Then I got curious though and read the first one before the movie came out.
