Book Traveling Thursdays #48 – Favorite Sequel

Today is thursday which means that is Book Traveling Thursdays, a weekly meme created by me and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. This weekly meme consists in picking a book related to the weekly theme that is announced in the group Goodreads page (if you want to join click here) at the beginning of each month. After that you can write a blog post where you explain why you choose that book and choose different covers from different countries. To make it a little bit easy you are going to choose different editions of the original cover, the cover from your country, your favorite cover, and your least favorite cover.

This weeks theme is Because some sequels are better than the first book choose your favorite sequel. I can think of a lot of books that I could use for this theme but I either used those books already or they din’t have enough covers (I’m looking at you ACOMAF). Because of that I ended up choosing Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas that is an amazing book. So let’s see a few covers:

Original Cover:

I kind of like this cover. I love how badass Celeana looks in the cover and I love the fonts and title positioning used but I don’t really like the background. It’s just too much for me. But it’s not a bad cover.

Cover from my Country (Portugal):

Surprise, Surprise… this book wasn’t released in Portugal but it might be released soon since Throne of Glass was released a few months ago and it will probably have the UK cover.

Favorite Cover:

You can tell me whatever you want but the UK covers are gorgeous. I love it and these are actually the ones I own. They look beautiful. I love that it keeps the same look of the original cover but with the white background. That white background makes all the difference. So beautiful.

Least Favorite Cover:

I really don’t like these covers. These are not ugly but I just don’t like it. I don’t like the look of these covers and how dark they are. I also don’t really like the girls used for these covers. It doesn’t work for me.
