T5W – Favorite Character Names

It’s that time of the week again when I bring you the Top 5 Wednesdays, created by gingerreadslainey and hosted by Sam @ThoughtsOnTomes. This week theme is Favorite Character Names. This list was pretty difficult for me to do because I had way more favorite names than I should and I had to cut a lot of names from my initial list in order to have only 5 names for this top. I managed to do that so here are some of my favorite character names:

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

First of all, let’s all just admit that Sarah J. Maas has the most amazing character names ever. If I could this list would be filled with her characters. However, I decided to choose only one and that name is Aelin. I’m still not in the point where I can say I love Aelin because I only read until Crown of Midnight but she has an amazing name that I absolutely love.

The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton

I haven’t read this book yet but the name Ava Lavender was one of the reasons I wanted to get and read this book (the other reason is the cover, obviously). I just think the Ava Lavender is such a beautiful name and it’s one of my favorite character names ever.

The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

By now you know how much I love The Lunar Chronicles and while I really like almost every character name in that books I still think that my favorite is Cress and not only because she’s one of my favorite characters from the series. I just love the sound of that name and it’s a beautiful name.

Slammed by Colleen Hoover

Normally Colleen Hoover’s characters have pretty common names right?? But then she comes with a character named Layken. Can we just talk about how beautiful that name is? I’ve been obsessed with the name Layken since I read that book and it will be one of my favorites for a long time.

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

Oh Noah! I love the name Noah and I have loved it for a long time. It’s an amazing name. However, I love the name Noah Shaw even more. I love the sound of that name and it has nothing to do with the fact that I do love Noah in the books 😛 . For me Noah Shaw is one of the best character names to ever exist.
