It’s that time of the week again when I bring you the Top 5 Wednesdays, created by gingerreadslainey and hosted by Sam @ThoughtsOnTomes. If you want to know how T5W works you can go to the Goodreads group by clicking here. This week theme is Authors I’d Want To Meet at BEA & Bookcon. So BEA (Book Expo America) and Bookcon are next week and a lot of authors will be there and I’m here jealous of everyone who’s going to be at both events and that will have the opportunity to meet such amazing authors and get amazing ARC’s. I do I have to live so far away from all this events? Sometimes being an international bookworm sucks. But anyway, here are some authors I would love to meet at both events.
Tahereh Mafi and Ransom Riggs
Oh look, I’m already cheating by choosing two authors instead of only one but for me Tahereh and Ransom count as one. I want to meet both of them. I loved Shatter Me and I didn’t Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children as much but I love these two and I want to meet them. They are adorable. Have you ever seen their social networks?? That’s cuteness all over the place.
Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
I loved Illuminae and I also loved These Broken Stars, that Amie Kaufman co-wrote, so I would love to meet them and if I could get an ARC of Gemina (like I know it would happen to a lot of people in BEA and Bookcon) it would be even better. I really want to read that book.
Marissa Meyer
Is this a surprise to anyone?? By now a lot of you know how much I love The Lunar Chronicles and it’s obvious that I want to meet the author behind these amazing books. Also, she created Captain Thorne so it’s impossible not to love Marissa Meyer.
Pierce Brown
This might come as a surprise (or not) because I only read Red Rising (which I really like btw) and I barely talk about it but I really wouldn’t mind to meet Pierce Brown. Just look at him… who wouldn’t want to meet him and his awesomeness??
Cassandra Clare
I think it’s pretty obvious that if I was at Bookcon I would want to meet the person behind some of my favorite series/characters ever. Everyone knows my love for the Shadowhunters Chronicles and also Will Herondale and, most recently, Julian Blackthorn so this shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone 😛 .
These are some of the authors I would love to meet. What about you? Which authors would you want to meet at these events?
I would love to meet them all too, even though I haven’t read Red Rising yet… but come one… it’s Pierce Brown!!! Who wouldn’t want to meet him?

So, how shall I put this. 3 of those 5 will MOST DEFINITELY be on the list as well. Still debating over the final two, but I’ll do the post soon. At least while it’s still Wednesday hahaha

It’s pretty normal. You love Cassandra as much as I do and Pierce way more than I do. Tahereh and Ransom are just too adorable too not have in the list and you loved Shatter Me 😛

You know me so well 😉
I bet we’ll be on equal love for Pierce once you get the time and money for the rest of the series!

I just need the money because I have time XD

Well … that’s still a pretty big problem then hahaha

Yeah. The time problem would be easier to deal with. But I’ll read the books. I need to

Yes, that’s not even debatable.

All these posts are making me feel so sad. I would love to be there and everyone keeps reminding me that I won’t be.
I’m sorry you can’t it make either. 😦

I know the feeling. This is the time it really sucks not living in the US or close to any of these events because if I could I would go to every single one of them

I would so love to meet Jay and Amie, Illuminae is one of my favourite books and we’re all Australian so I feel like we would have something to connect over haha! I haven’t read any of Tahereh’s books, but I’d still love to meet her and Ransom (I love Miss Peregrine’s!) because they both look so lovely and like you’d be able to have fun and interesting conversations with them.
