Today is thursday which means that is Book Traveling Thursdays, a weekly meme created by me and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. This weekly meme consists in picking a book related to the weekly theme that is announced in the group Goodreads page (if you want to join click here) at the beginning of each month. After that you can write a blog post where you explain why you choose that book and choose different covers from different countries. To make it a little bit easy you are going to choose different editions of the original cover, the cover from your country, your favorite cover, and your least favorite cover.
This weeks theme is World Book Day is in a couple of days! Choose one of your all-time favorite books. FI already showed most of my favorite books in previous weeks so today I decided to talk about a book that I barely feature here. The book for this week is Every Day by David Levithan. This book has such an interesting concept. It’s really good. Let’s see some covers.
Original and Favorite Cover:
I absolutely love this cover. I like the aesthetic of this cover and I think it’s gorgeous and that’s why this is my favorite cover. Also, I love how it shows a person falling because it kind of represents the story in which A “falls” in a new body every day.
Cover from my Country (Portugal):
I don’t hate this cover but I don’t love it too. It’s okay. I like how A is a white figure with no face and no distinct characteristics and in the background you have different people. I think it reflects the plot of this book.
Least Favorite Covers:
I really don’t like any of these covers. I like that the german cover has all that different faces but I don’t think it is a pretty cover. The bulgarian one doesn’t make me think of a young adult book. The french cover is my least favorite of them all. This style of cover reminds me of a book that it was my mom’s (but now is mine because I “stole” all of her books) and not in a good way because that book has at least 20 years and has an old style cover. I really don’t like this one. Also, it seems to focus more in the romance.
So this is it, this week Book Traveling Thursdays. What did you think of these covers? Tell me in the comments 🙂
There’s some really cute covers here 🙂 Good choice!

I’ve actually read this book. It’s really eye opening. There’s also a sequel! The least favorites are kind of creepy/unappealing. The original is the best 🙂

I read the sequel and I didn’t like it as much. It’s not really a sequel because it’s the original story from Rhianon’s POV and for me her POV is not as interesting

Hmm! I haven’t read it in so long that I don’t remember the characters XD

It’s the girl who A falls in love with

I like Every Day, but I never loved it. I think I was just always so frustrated that it ended when the action-y story started, do you know what I mean? The concept is just so ingenuous but then it just stops!
Did I ever tell you that some classmates and I developed a TV show based on this book that I was really intent on pitching to Levithan? I think he wouldn’t have approved though. It involved A getting a body in the end …

I’m still waiting for a sequel. A real sequel and not Another Day because that book didn’t really have a point.
Really?? That’s so cool. I like the idea of A getting a body in the end. I just can’t imagine how that would happen

I would like a real sequel too. I am denying the existence of Another Day hahaha
I will dig deep to find our pitch with the synopsis. It was a web series and you could win a part in the show because A needed so many bodies. When I find it, I’ll send you some of the stuff we came up with. It was a cool project and our teacher liked it. 😀

You would need a lot of people to play A 😛
Send me when you find it. I want to see that ideas 😀
