Today is thursday which means that is Book Traveling Thursdays, a weekly meme created by me and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. This weekly meme consists in picking a book related to the weekly theme that is announced in the group Goodreads page (if you want to join click here) at the beginning of each month. After that you can write a blog post where you explain why you choose that book and choose different covers from different countries. To make it a little bit easy you are going to choose different editions of the original cover, the cover from your country, your favorite cover, and your least favorite cover. This weeks theme is National Siblings Day is a few days away. Choose a book that has your favorite bookish siblings. I could have used a book from The Mortal Instruments again but I’ve been using it so much that for this week theme I decided to choose To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han. I just had to choose this book because Kitty is one of the best younger sisters out there. So let’s see a few covers for this book.
I love this cover. I love the picture they used, I love that the model looks like Lara Jean and I love the fonts and colors used. This cover is just beautiful and screams contemporary. I don’t even have a problem that the girl’s face is on the cover and by now you know how much I hate faces on covers.
Cover from my Country (Portugal):
Once again, good job on keeping the original cover and the original design Portugal. Kudos to whoever made this decision.
As you might have seen already these are my favorite covers. I don’t need to explain anything else 😛
Least Favorite Cover:
Most of the covers used all over the world for this book have basically the same cover design. This cover, from Poland, is the only one different and I really don’t like it. I would never say that this book was a young adult contemporary or that the girl was Lara Jean if I saw this one the bookstore.
So this is it, this week Book Traveling Thursdays. What did you think of these covers? Tell me in the comments 🙂
