It’s that time of the week again when I bring you the Top 5 Wednesdays, created by gingerreadslainey. If you want to know how T5W works you can go to the Goodreads group by clicking here. This week theme is Books You Were Spoiled For. I’m one of that persons who sometimes doesn’t care about some spoilers but most of the times I really hate it. Let’s see the books that made this list 🙂
5. Harry Potter – J. K. Rowling
You know what happens when you start reading Harry Potter really late (like in 2015)?? You end up spoiled. I really don’t care that I was spoiled for Harry Potter because in part it was my decision. I was the one who started reading the books way too late and watched the movies before so I’m the only one to blame one this one.
4. City of Glass – Cassandra Clare
I’m going to be honest here, I went to look for spoilers for this one years ago. I had a really good reason. Remember what happened in the end of City of Bones?? I had to know if it was true or not so I went to look for spoilers to get my answers.
3. Me Before You – Jojo Moyes
Another one I was spoiled because I wanted. I have yet to read this book but after watching the trailer last week (which, by the way, was heartbreaking as hell) I had to know if what was implied in the trailer really happens and I went to look for spoilers. I promise this was worse years ago. Now I barely go look for spoilers on Google.
2. Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined – Stephenie Meyer
This is another one I was kind of expecting to be spoiled. The reviews I watched had spoiler warnings but I still watched them anyway and end up being spoiled. It’s not that I care a lot because as much as I loved Twilight I have no plans to read this book.
1. Allegiant – Veronica Roth
This is the actually the only book I was spoiled without wanting and I was mad because of that. Like a lot of people out there I was spoiled about a certain thing that happened in this book and I was not happy about it first because I didn’t want to know before reading the book and also because of what happened.
These are some of the books I’ve been spoiled for. What about you?
It’s hard not to be spoiled for Harry Potter these days haha. But I guess a lot of people were spoiler for Allegiant and they were mad about it. Why can’t we all just keep the endings to ourselves?!

It is. That’s why I’m okay with being spoiled for Harry Potter. Now with Allegiant I’m not okay because I was reading a review a few days after the release and it didn’t have any spoilers warning. I didn’t want to know what was going to happen

There should be like a time limit on spoilers. None for the first few months or something and then warnings after that.

lol, when I finished watching City of Bones – before even thinking of reading the books – I typed on google “Are Jace and Clary really siblings?”, and I was so happy with the answer that I went out and bought the first book. Thank god for spoilers 😀

Right? When I finished the book I had to google that because I needed to know. I didn’t want to ship siblings. It would be too weird XD

yep, that’s why I looked. I was a bit freaked out, eheh. I was super glad I did, otherwise there’s a scene in City of Glass that would have been scary weird

Good thing we looked for spoilers. Not that I should care because I loved Forbidden and weird things happen between siblings

yeah, but there you know what you’re getting yourself into. You know they’re siblings from the start

That’s true but I was still very conflicted about their relationship when I was reading the book
LikeLiked by 1 person
oh, but aren’t they perfect for each other? except the part, you know, that they’re brother and sister?

I told you before, I understand why that relationship happened and I liked their relationship but I was still very conflicted because they are brother and sister. Also, the book (especially the ending) still destroyed me

I’m still afraid that someone will die… 😦 I’m so scared of the damn book…

You should be scared of that book. I was even if I knew what I was getting in. I also knew that I would either love it or hate it. Good thing I loved it

Oh yup, it’s hard not to get spoiled for some of the bigger series — Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, etc,. Allegiant got spoiled for me too! I was so mad! And aw, sorry that MBY was spoiled for you :(.

I already accept that I will always be spoiled for the bigger series. I’m not worried on being spoiled in something like Game of Thrones and I was okay by knowing most of spoilers about Harry Potter when I started the books. We can’t run aways from that spoilers

Someone spoilt Allegiant for me… and they hadn’t even read it! They just heard it from another friend who had read it. I was so annoyed!! I did the exact same thing for City of Glass. After City of Bones, I had to XD

That’s even worse. People need to learn to not spoil other people.
I think a lot of people did that with City of Glass. No one wanted to ship siblings XD

I’m glad that I finished all these books without being spoiled. 😀

You were able to not get spoiled for Allegiant?? Lucky you 😀

I read the series before it became so popular . So maybe that’s why

I don’t think it was it. I read the books before it become popular too but I was spoiled a week after the last book w.as released

Oh same at 2! I didn’t think it was true what happened in City of Bones, so I looked it up as well XD I spoiled myself, so I’m not mad about it 😛

I’m not mad about that one too because I was the one who wanted to be spoiled. I couldn’t be incertain about their possible siblinghood 😛
