Book Traveling Thursdays #25 – Bookish Boyfriend

Today is thursday which means that is Book Traveling Thursdays, a weekly meme created by me and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. This weekly meme consists in picking a book related to the weekly theme that is announced in the group Goodreads page (if you want to join click here) at the beginning of each month. After that you can write a blog post where you explain why you choose that book and choose different covers from different countries. To make it a little bit easy you are going to choose different editions of the original cover, the cover from your country, your favorite cover, and your least favorite cover. This weeks theme is Every book has a special someone! Choose a book with your bookish boyfriend. This is a really complicated theme for me because I have a long list of bookish boyfriends (really long XD ). However I was able to choose and for this week I decided to choose Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare. I think I don’t need to explain why (*cough* Will Herondale *cough*) so let’s see a few covers 😀

Original Cover:

This is the cover that everyone grew up to love. I really like this cover and I love the fact that the guy is supposed to be Will. I also think that this cover is already “iconic” for these books and almost everyone loves it.

Covers from my Country (Portugal):

The portuguese cover is pretty similar to the original one. I don’t like it as much as the original cover mainly because of the font they decided to use for this cover.

Favorite Covers:

As I said before, the original cover is one of my favorites. I also love the new covers that were released last year. These covers are gorgeous and I love the fact that the spines of the three books match and form an image with the main characters.

Least Favorite Covers:

What do I have to say about these covers. I don’t like the italian one because the guy’s face is just weird. The cover from Estonia makes me think of Doctor Who and not in a good way. Am I the only one who thinks that’s a Weeping Angel?? Weeping Angels are scary as sh*t. The polish cover is just ugly. How weird is that guy?? I really don’t like that cover.

So this is it, this week Book Traveling Thursdays. What did you think of these covers? Tell me in the comments 🙂

  1. WEEPING ANGELS ARE SO SCARY, I AGREE. I remember getting nightmares from watching those episodes of Doctor Who. 😁
I love your choices of favourite covers. They are also my favourite too! I love that they come together to make an image, that’s the coolest thing!
    Great post! 😄

  2. I haven’t read this trilogy (I’ve only read book 1 in the Mortal Instruments series) but I definitely agree with your favorite covers! I saw the new versions at the bookstore and the spines looked absolutely gorgeous together! As for the least favorite covers – I agree with you again. They’re all so awful!
