It’s that time of the week again when I bring you the Top 5 Wednesdays, created by gingerreadslainey. If you want to know how T5W works you can go to the Goodreads group by clicking here. This week theme is Favorite Buzz Words. If you don’t know buzz words are words used to describe a book that will make you want to buy and read that book. Here’s some of the buzz words that will make me want to have that book 🙂
5. Cute
If I ever hear anyone saying that a certain book was cute or had cute scenes I will want to read it. I’m sucker for cuteness and if I can read cute scenes I’ll want to do it.
4. Plot Twists
I normally actually prefer not to know that a book has a plot twist but if I know that it has one I know I will want to have that book and read it. I love plot twists so I have to read it 🙂
3. Retellings
If you tell me that a certain book is a retelling or, even better, a fairytale retelling you can count with me to read that book. I love fairytales and I love retellings so if I can have both I’m a happy girl.
2. Mental Health
My top 2 picks are not the happiest ones but I’m the kind of girl who sometimes likes to read books with difficult topics. I love to read books about Mental Health and if I know that one book deals with that topic I know I’ll want to read that book. I read My Heart and Other Black Holes and All the Bright Places because I knew it would deal with mental health and I loved both of these books.
1. Heartbreaking
I told you my top 2 picks were not happy. If there’s something I love to read is heartbreaking stories. If you tell me that something heartbreaking will happen I will want to read that book. By the end of the book I will be a total mess but I love to read this type of books. It’s not only books actually. Tell me that a TV show or that a movie is heartbreaking and I’ll be watching it.
These are my favorite buzz words. What about you? Which are some of the words that would make you want to read a book?
great list! :3

Fantastic list!! All of these, with the exception of mental health, are definitely things that make me go and read books 🙂

Love your choice of buzz words! I am struggling a little to come up with anything. I am not even sure I have buzz words hahaha

I thought I didn’t have any too but while watching other people tops I realized that I actually have some. But I almost skipped this week theme

I am working on it now and I think I can come up with 5. Never would have been able to do 10 though ahahaha
LikeLiked by 1 person
Me neither. I already had a hard time with the 5th one XD

Yeah, I struggled too hahaha

SAME!!! Mental Health and Heartbreaking are my top two choices too. Dunno why, can’t resist a heartbreak

Me neither. I know it will break my hear and I’ll be a mess after but I just can’t resist 🙂

I’m re-reading All the Bright Places and it took all my willpower to do it

I’m thinking of reading My Heart and Other Black Holes but I have to get ready because I know it’s not going to be easy

Oh god that book… I still remember dialogues from it

I love that book. It’s so beautiful

Me too. It’s so good

CUTE CUTE CUTE CUTENESS OVERLOAD! (this was us reading Winter :P). Love the list, but it’s a bit sadistic, no? I mean heartbreaking as the 1st one?! :S
LikeLiked by 1 person
I’ve been using the word cute a lot in the last couple of weeks XD
It’s not my fault that I love heartbreaks in books and in everything else. I just love it. I end up in a mess after heartbreaking books but it’s for a good cause 😛
LikeLiked by 1 person
yes, cute cute cute… our tweets about the anthology also had a lot of “cute” in them :D. I get you about the heartbreak, i like it too, but apparently not as much as you 😉
LikeLiked by 1 person
That’s true. We have to stop using the word cute that much XD
I can see you don’t love it as much. I love heartbreak so much that I’m planning to re-read My Heart and Other Black Holes. You know how much that book will break my poor heart 😛

hey, speaking of damn heartbreak, i think I was spoiled today for All the Bright Places…
LikeLiked by 1 person
NO!!!! Really? What did you hear? You can tell me. I’ve read it and you won’t spoil me
LikeLiked by 1 person
nothing much, it was on a tag “a book with an upsetting death” (-_-)’… holy fuck… I didn’t know someone would die in the book…
LikeLiked by 1 person
I always think that someone will die in books about suicide and depression
LikeLiked by 1 person
yeah, but this was a freaking confirmation! I didn’t want that. and this is me! I like spoilers!!!
LikeLiked by 1 person
It was bad. That book was freaking sad
LikeLiked by 1 person
now I want to read it even more… but only after forbidden… my heart can’t take that much heartbreak
LikeLiked by 1 person
It can’t. I’ve read both of them and I know it would be a bad combination to read one after the other
LikeLiked by 1 person
right? maybe what? 1 month in between? lol. I don’t even own All the Bright Places…
LikeLiked by 1 person
I only read one book between All the Bright Places and My Heart and Other Black Holes. It wasn’t a good idea. But with Forbidden you should wait at least one month. That book was so heartbreaking
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yeah, because with my heart and other black holes, it ends kind of well
LikeLiked by 1 person
You don’t know if Forbidden ends well or not
LikeLiked by 1 person
I’m guessing not… 😕
LikeLiked by 1 person
I can’t talk about it so you have to keep with the guessing. But one thing is for sure, what I was talking the other day didn’t happened in Forbidden
LikeLiked by 1 person
I still it was in hopeless. Or all the bright places…

I’m still not telling 😛

I’ll read them all!!!!

Hahah… You know that after Hopeless you have Losing Hope right??

I love Holder. He’s great 🙂

i think Hopeless might be the book for next month
LikeLiked by 1 person
I think it should be 🙂
LikeLiked by 1 person
that means that forbidden will only come in march 😛
LikeLiked by 1 person
Ohhhh… but it’s better. You don’t want to read both in the same month
LikeLiked by 1 person
exactly 😉 and I want to start my Colleen Hoover reading… she has a lot of books.
LikeLiked by 1 person
She has. I think I still need to read 3 if I don’t count with the Never Never books
LikeLiked by 1 person
i won’t read those, the reviews are a bit divisive…
LikeLiked by 1 person
I’m not sure yet and that’s why I don’t count it as Colleen Hoover’s books I still have to read
LikeLiked by 1 person
yeah. have you read the Slammed series?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I read the 1st one. I’m still not sure about the other 2 because I keep hearing they are not that good
LikeLiked by 1 person
did you like the 1st one?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I did. I read it without knowing a lot about it so some things surprised me. But I did like it. I’m pretty sure Slammed was one of my first reviews here 😛
LikeLiked by 1 person
i won’t dig it up because I don’t want to know what it is about. 😀
LikeLiked by 1 person
I didn’t say what was about. But it’s a terrible review. I wrote it on my first month here XD
LikeLiked by 1 person
lol. now I’m curious to see it 😛

It’s not a good idea. It’s really bad

Are you reading it?? Because I just had a view on that post (and also in the Ugly Love one) XD

I read both and they’re good!!! What happens to Will????? (see, this is why I avoid reviews of some books…)

I’m not telling. I thought you didn’t want to know 😛
LikeLiked by 1 person
i didn’t… I don’t… oh… which book of hers is your favorite?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I don’t know. I like all. I really like Hopeless and I also like Slammed but sometimes both girls do stupid things that make me mad. The one I don’t like as much is Maybe Someday. I know it’s a lot of people favorite but it wasn’t mine for sure
LikeLiked by 1 person
is that the one with the cheating?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yeah. It’s not that they actually do something because they don’t but the way they act is still cheating
LikeLiked by 1 person
that’s why you didn’t like it?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Not only but also
LikeLiked by 1 person
ok ;), i’m curious about it too though
LikeLiked by 1 person
It’s not that bad and you’ll probably like it 🙂
LikeLiked by 1 person
i don’t have a huge problem with the cheating subject. I mean, I don’t like it, I wouldn’t do it, and I would be pissed if someone did it to me. But I grew up loving my dad, and he’s wonderful, but he did cheat on my mom, and to be honest, I was always ok with it =/
LikeLiked by 1 person
I agree with all that because my dad did the same but there are other things that happen but one thing if for sure, Ridge’s best friend is really funny and I was happy he had his own novella 😀
LikeLiked by 1 person
😀 ok, that’s something 🙂 the goal is to read everything by her (minus never never) until the end of 2016 😀
LikeLiked by 1 person
Everything?? You almost have to read one a month 😛
LikeLiked by 1 person
YES!!! how many are there? the thing that confuses me are the novellas… she has a lot of them…
LikeLiked by 1 person
I think that she only has two novellas: Finding Cinderella and Maybe Now. I pretty sure she has 9 books??? I thnk it’s 9
LikeLiked by 1 person
9 is totally doable!
LikeLiked by 1 person
It is. You don’t need to read one every month
LikeLiked by 1 person
i think they are 10. still, doable. I’ll start with hopeless and then ugly love
LikeLiked by 1 person
As soon as I see mental health on a book I want to pick it up and read it straight away! Just to see how it represent people with mental health issues.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Me too and it’s always different. Every book about mental illness I’ve read are different because of that
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yay for retellings! I have a total unhealthy obsession with them. Besides that were pretty different in our choices. I love to read about Mental Health but it’s so hard for my heart and soul that I can’t do it all the time haha
LikeLiked by 1 person
That’s why I like to read a book it. And also to see how they deacribe Mental Health in some books
LikeLiked by 1 person
The problem with that is sometimes you might find someone who didn’t write mental health very well
LikeLiked by 1 person
Sometimes that happens and it sucks
LikeLiked by 1 person
Mental health is probably one of my biggest buzz words alongside fantasy and retellings!
Fabulous list. 😊
