Hi guys! Today I’m back with another tag. I was tagged by Mariana @ Book is Glee to The Emoji Book Tag so I decided to answer to this tag today. This tag consists of using some of the emojis that you love or use the most and find a book to match it up. Emojis is something that I actually use a lot when I’m tweeting but because I keep using the same emojis it wasn’t that difficult to choose my most used and favorite ones. As a disclaimer, I have a Samsung phone and because of that I decided to use Samsung emojis instead of the Apple ones. I actually think that Samsung emojis are way more cute than Apple emojis. The only problem is the lack of the unicorn emoji. So let’s see my picks for this tag 🙂
Party Emoji – Clockwork Princess
A colourful party popper, used to celebrate an occasion or party
I could have interpreted this emoji in a few ways but in the end I decided to choose an emoji that everyone should celebrate how amazing it is. As you might have seen I decided to pick Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare because this book is beautiful and amazing and should be celebrated. Also, that epilogue was the best epilogue ever. Just amazing.
Wink Emoji – Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda
Used to imply humor in written form, or may alternatively be used suggestively, as a form of flirtation.
I don’t know why when I decided to use this emoji I knew that I would pick Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli as the book who would represent it. Why? This book is not only funny but it also has one of the cutest couples ever. Simon and Blue’s interactions are amazing even though they don’t know each other in person.
Crying Emoji – My Heart and Other Black Holes
A sad face with a single tear running from one eye, down the cheek. Hurt and upset, but not crying hysterically
Obviously I’ve been using this emoji wrong because I consider this crying hysterically so the book I’m going to pick is one that really made me sad and almost crying. I was going to choose Forbidden but because Mariana used that book for the same emoji I changed my answer. I ended up picking My Heart and Other Black Holes by Jasmine Warga. This book is amazing and it was one of my favorite books of 2015 but it’s so sad and really makes you about a lot of things. This might have been one of the last books to make me cry.
Big Grin Emoji – The Fill-in Boyfriend
A face with a big open (grinning) mouth, showing teeth, used to express greater levels of happiness
For this one I decided to choose a book that actually left me with a stupid smile on my face when I finished it. The book I picked is The Fill-in Boyfriend by Kasie West and let me tell you this book is too cute for words. I’m not kidding, this might have been one of the cutest books I’ve read last year and the fact that it left me with a smile in my face at 2 am is a reason enough to choose it for this emoji.
Heart Eyes Emoji – Winter
A face with hearts instead of eyes, or Heart Eyes Emoji as it is generally known. Used as an expression of love, for example: “I love you” or “I love this”
There’s a reason why I used this emoji so much in the last week and that reason is called Winter. I can’t even tell you how many times I used this emoji when tweeting about this book. It was a ridiculous amount of times (even thought I also used the crying emoji a lot too). This book made me feel a lot of different things but in the end I just can think about how cute some scenes were and the cuteness overload displayed in some of the chapters. Also, this shows my love for Thorne and Cress. They are so great together.

This tag is so fun! I’ve been tagged, I just hope I don’t have to do a wacky one like a whale. I wouldn’t know what book to go with that!

You can choose your favorite emojis so you don’t have to do a whale or something like that. But we have to admit that it would be funny to see which book you would choose XD
