Today is thursday which means that is Book Traveling Thursdays, a weekly meme created by me and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. This weekly meme consists in picking a book related to the weekly theme that is announced in the group Goodreads page (if you want to join click here) at the beginning of each month. After that you can write a blog post where you explain why you choose that book and choose different covers from different countries. To make it a little bit easy you are going to choose different editions of the original cover, the cover from your country, your favorite cover, and your least favorite cover. Because it’s the last day of 2015 (already?) this weeks theme is It’s the last day of 2015! Choose your favorite book read in 2015. I decided to choose a book from my Top 10 (11 to be honest 😛 ) Favorite Books of 2015 (click here) but not my overall favorite because I’ve already used the other books for other themes. The books I’ve chosen for today is Hopeless by Colleen Hoover. Let’s go see some covers.
Original Cover and Favorite Cover:
The first time I saw this cover I didn’t like it a lot, mostly because I don’t like faces in covers, but it grew on me and I do like it now. That’s why this is my favorite cover of Hopeless.
Cover from my Country (Portugal):
The portuguese cover is very similar to the original and once again I do like this cover. They only changes the fonts and the position of the title and the author name but I do like how it ended up. See portuguese designers who keep doing ugly covers, this is how you don’t mess with a cover.
Least Favorite Covers:
I don’t like these covers at all. They all seem weird because of the boy and the girl. Also, the cover from Macedonia… what was in the designer mind to do that?? It’s a terrible cover. Now let’s talk about the polish cover. I hate this cover. he photo used is weird and don’t even make me talk about the tattoo. I give you extra points for using the tattoo just because Holder really has a Hopeless tattoo in his arm but that tattoo is ugly and nothing like what I imagined. Sorry, it’s just ugly.
So this is it, this week Book Traveling Thursdays. What did you think of these covers? Tell me in the comments 🙂
And Happy New Year everyone 😀
Hahaha the cover from Macedonia looks kind of kinky.

The first I thought was that the cover was really ugly. I tried not to look to it a lot longer after that 😛

Okay, fair enough! It definitely doesn’t depict anything I would expect from the story.

Hahaha, I thought the one from Poland looked kind of kinky at first glance. There are so many arms it looks like an orgy.

I’ve never read this book and have no intention in doing so, but I actually like the Polish cover.

What a fun idea! It shall be difficult to choose a favorite book from 2015, however. I will have to choose one of my all-time favorites, perhaps! Thanks for the idea!
