Hi guys! It’s time for Blogmas day 19 and because I already talked about my Favorite Christmas Songs and my Favorite Holiday Movies I decided that I wanted to show you some of my favorite children’s books. This books are not related to Christmas but I just think that this is a great time to talk about children’s books mostly because there’s no one who loves more Christmas than kids, right? 😛 . Also, while these are technically children’s books who still can read them. I’ve read them in the last 2/3 years so there’s no problems if an adult wants to read these books. So let’s see some of my favorite Children’s books.
Harry Potter – J.K. Rowling
The Chronicles of Narnia – C.S. Lewis
The Secret Garden – Frances Hodgson Burnett
Alice in Wonderland – Lewis Carroll
The Hobbit – J.R.R. Tolkien
These are some of my favorite Children’s books. Have you read any of these? What are some of your favorite?
For NARNIAAAAAAAAAAAAA! :p Definitely one of my fave children’s books, but can’t say I’ve read the others. Granted, my reading level as a child was far below what it should have been. Oops. :p

I haven’t read any of these as a children. I was the kind of kid who didn’t like to read 😛

Bahaha! That’s awesome. :p It took me until Harry Potter in 3rd grade for me to get into reading.

For me it took me until I was 16 yo. I have to thank my portuguese teacher because she’s the one who made me read XD

Wow. That is quite some time, but I feel like an interest in reading is dependent a lot upon the house you grow up in. You know?

I know. My family doesn’t like to read and my dad even says that books are a waste of money. When I was 17 yo my mom was reading some Nicholas Sparks books and I started doing the same. That also helped to get me into reading 🙂

Aw! I’m sorry, Catia. That’s so sad! My parents weren’t avid readers, but they always had a book on their nightstand. I can’t imagine what it must be like to grow up in a house where people don’t read… So many imaginations lost. *sigh*
At least you found reading now! ^.^ Better late than never!

My mom tried. The quantity of books I have from when I was a kid it’s immense. I just didn’t like it. I would probably read 3/4 for year XD. I didn’t have a lot of time because I spent most of the day outside playing with my friends 😛

Same here! Other activities generally took priority. Children are supposed to socialize, after all. :p

Totally. It worked out anyway because now we both love to read 😀

I’m so sad to say that out of your list, I have only read The Hobbit! However, this Christmas season, I am going to be reading the Harry Potter series for the first time! Eek I am so excited!
And I think the Hobbit is such a great book, I could read it over and over again and never get sick of it. I’ve already read it so many times.
Great post!

Until a year ago I hadn’t read Harry Potter yet too. I still have two books left but I’ll finish it next year for sure. I hope you enjoy the books.
The Hobbit is an amazing book. I should really try to read The Lord of the Rings soon

I have read all of them and I loved every single one! 😀 Though I should mention that I didn’t read all of them when I was a child, but rather over the past few years. My favourite is probably The Hobbit (not counting Harry Potter because that book series is always number one in everything), 🙂

Hi Catia.
Prior to reading chaptered books, Dr. Seuss, ‘Where the Wild Things Are’, and the Golden Books were my book introductions. After that, it was ‘The Three Investigators’ series. ‘The Hobbit’ was an early read for me, and the only one on the above list that I too have read.
Happy Reading!

Narnia hands down ❤ I love Harry Potter, too, but Narnia was truly the first book series that completely transported me to a different world. It was the first series that showed me the true magic of books : ) This is an amazing list.

I enjoyed “The Secret Garden” and “Alice In Wonderland”. Did you ever read a story concerning the Alice that the book is based on? She had dark short hair, but her two sisters had long hair. The little girl was the middle sister.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy,Blessed New Year.
