The Lady and the Fox by Kelly Link – Mini-Review| Blogmas #6

blogmas day 6

Hi guys! I’m back today for Blogmas day 6 and today I’m bringing you another review. As I said you before I decided to re-read My True Love Gave to Me, edited by Stephanie Perkins. This book is a collection of twelve short stories related to the this season of the year. Today I’m going to be reviewing The Lady and the Fox by Kelly Link.

Review:

The first time I read this short story was the first time I have ever heard of Kelly Link. I didn’t know what to expect from this but unfortunately it wasn’t as good as the first one. This story had a lot of potential but I think that the magical elements involved were a little bit confusing. I did like some of the things that happened but I think that this could have worked out better as a full novel and not as a short story. There were a lot of things that weren’t explained that I would have loved to know about. I wanted to like this story more but I wasn’t able due to the lack of some information that would make the reader understand a little bit more what was happening and why it happened.

This is all I have to say in this mini-review. If I say more stuff I will spoil someone and I don’t want to do that. Have you read My True Love Gave to Me? If so what did you think about this short story?

  1. I actually really liked this short story. I loved the whole idea of the man coming every time there was snow on Christmas and how he vanished when it stopped. It was a bit mysterious at the end but I think some things are better left unexplained…
