Seasons of Book Blogging Tag!

seasons of book blogging

Hi guys! So today I’m back with another tag. Today I’m aswering to the Seasons of Book Blogging Tag that was created by Jordyn @ J. Bookish. I was tagged by Keira @ Signing On and Kat @ Life and Other Disasters so thank you both so much for tagging me. If you haven’t checked any of these lovely ladies blogs you definitely go check it 🙂 .

Rules:

1. Thank the creator (so she can see all of your answers!) and the person who tagged you.
2. Begin with the month in which you have been tagged and move forward from there!
3. State the best gift you’ve ever been given after you answer the question for your birthday month.
4. Tag whomever you’d like when you’re finished.. or else you’ll be “it” forever.
5. Have fun, of course!

November is the month when we’re reminded of how much we have to be thankful for. Choose one book you’re grateful for having read and give a shout-out to the person who recommended it!

I’m grateful to have read The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. I don’t know where I heard about the book but I probably heard about it when they started the movie production basically because I loved Logan Lerman  by that time (I still do 😛 ).

December is a time when friends and families come together and celebrate. Name one book you would give as a gift.

I think that the Barnes & Nobles Leather Bound Novels are gorgeous and even if I don’t have any I think that they would be great gifts especially the Jane Austen novels, The Chronicles of Narnia and Grimm’s Fairy Tales.

Also, Descember is my birthday month. When I was a kid I would basically receive toys and now I receive either books or money to buy books. But last year when I was writing my MSc thesis my laptop almost died. It ended up dying a few days after I finished my thesis so my mom gave me a new laptop as a Christmas/Birthday present. It was something that we were talking for quite some time so my old laptop died in the perfect time.

January begins a new year. Name a resolution you made this year and if you’ve kept it or not!

I normally don’t make any resolution because I know that I’ll not keep with any of them.

February is the month for relationships. Name your favorite book relationship: romantic, platonic, or familial, your choice!

I love the relationship between the Lightwood kids and that includes Jace. I love to see their relationship as a family and how they support each other.

City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1)

March is the month for luck and new beginnings. Name a book or series that you would like to re-experience as if you’d never read it.

I would love to re-read The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare for the first time again. I loved the series and the books are absolutely amazing.

April is a spectacularly ordinary month. Name a book that was so over-hyped that it just could not live up to your expectations.

There’s one book that I kept hearing amazing things but I just didn’t like it that much and it was Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews. I didn’t like the book that much and it’s one of the times that I actually liked the movie more than the book.

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl

May is the month when the flowers start to bloom. Name a book that was a pleasant surprise to you.

I actually finished this one last week and it is The Casquette Girls by Alys Arden (read the review HERE). I wasn’t expecting to love this book as much as I did and it was a great surprise.

The Casquette Girls

June is the time to take a break. Name a book or genre that you like to read when you just need to check out.

Contemporary and Romances are the genres that I choose every time I need to check out, especially the fluffy and cute contemporaries.

July is the time to celebrate your independence! Name a book that made you see fireworks. (Figuratively. Please don’t light books on fire.)

I’m stealing Kat’s answer for this one so I have to say Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. All the books are absolutely amazing and Tahereh’s writing style is just beautiful. And let’s not forget about the characters.

August is the hottest month of the year. Pick an up-and-coming author that you think will be the next hottest thing.

I’ve read a lot of great new authors this years but I think that if Becky Albertalli keeps writing books like Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda I know that she’ll become the next hottest thing 🙂 .

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda

September is time for students to go back to school! Pick a book you read for school that you actually enjoyed.

This book is actually the reason that I started reading and it’s Os Maias by Eça de Queirós. I had to read it to my portuguese class and I loved it so much that I actually started reading other books after that.

Os Maias

October is time to celebrate Halloween! Pick one character that you would love to dress up as for Halloween.

I would love to dress up as a Shadowhunter, Hermione Granger or even Luna Lovegood for Halloween. That would be some amazing costumes 😀 .

I Tag:

Daniela @ Daniela’s Bookshelf

Mariana @ Fire Heart Books

Ashleigh @ A Frolic Through Fiction

Regina @ The Bibliothèque

Joan @ Fiddler Blue

Once again if I nominated you and you did this already or don’t want to do this just ignore it.
