Hi guys! I was nominated by the lovely Cristina @ My Tiny Obsessions to the Book Fangirling Award. Thank you so much Cristina for nominating me 🙂 ! If you haven’t visit her blog yet (something that I doubt) go visit because it’s amazing. This award was created by Book Fangirling, so go visit the original blog too 🙂 !
Rules:
Create a post to accept your award.
- Add the blog award button into your post and put it on the side of your blog as a widget. Visit fangirling for the award button.
- Answer the questions I have below.
- Nominate between 5-10 book bloggers who you think also deserve this award.
- Come up with your own 5 questions for your nominees.
Cristina’s Questions:
1. Book series or standalones? Why?
I don’t know how to choose. I love both for different reasons but I think I have to choose standalones. As much as I love to have a lot of books with my favorite characters I really like to have the possibility of meet new characters and read new things.
2. Did you watch anime/cartoons when you were younger? Which ones?
I was a sucker for cartoons when I was younger. I loved Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball, Digimon, Samurai X, Dartacão and a lot more. I still know the openings to all these cartoons and the Dartacão opening was the anthem to my group of friends in college 😀 .
3. Tell me a music that reminds you of your childhood/early teens.
I was obsessed with Spice Girls in my childhood (yea I’m that old 😛 ) and me and my childhood friends had a «band» where we would lip-sync to the Spice Girls songs. It was really funny. In my early teens I loved Blue and I still do. These two bands really remind me of my childhood and early teens.
*Now I’m here singing to every Blue songs possible 😀
4. Favorite movie growing up?
The Lion King. I absolutely adore The Lion King and it’s still my favorite Disney movie ever (Tangled and Oliver & Company are really close second). I got a cat when I was about 3 years-old and I called her Nala so you can imagine how much I loved that movie. I also made my aunt call her cat Simba and my grandma call her dog Kiara 😛 .
5. Where do you live? Tell us something about your city (that us tourists can’t read on the books).
I’ve been living in a town close to Sintra for the last 3 years and if you don’t know Sintra is a really well-known touristic spot in Portugal and it’s beautiful. I really love to go to Sintra because for me it’s a really peaceful place and had this magical environment. Everyone should go there at least once.
However I grew up (and still visit a lot) in a village really close to Nazaré. If you don’t know people have been talking a lot about Nazaré because of its big waves that in this time of the year can be more than 30 meters high. It’s really scary!! Everyone that knows me knows that I don’t like to go to the beach especially to Nazaré because it has a lot of tourists and it’s always a confusion (also, as you can see it’s a really dangerous beach) but I loved to go to the beach every day after school (normally on Fall or Winter). I had to wait an hour for my bus every day so I would go to the beach, sit in the sand and looks to the sea. It was a really therapeutical moment for me and I loved to do that almost every day.
My Questions:
Because I really liked Cristina’s question I’m keeping it. So the questions are:
1. Book series or standalones? Why?
2. Did you watch anime/cartoons when you were younger? Which ones?
3. Tell me a music that reminds you of your childhood/early teens.
4. avorite movie growing up?
5. Where do you live? Tell us something about your city (that us tourists can’t read on the books).
My Nominations:
Warisha at Warisha Reads
Aimal @ Bookshelves & Paperbacks
Bhramori @ thecrazyperfectionist
Michelle @ The Writing Hufflepuff
Bianca @ The Ultimate Fangirl
Once again if I nominated you and you did this already or don’t want to do this just ignore it.
Dartacão e os 3 moscãoteiros!!! It’s so epic!
Blue, I had totally forgotten about them 🙂
Nala, Simba and Kiara are AWESOME pet names!!!
Nazaré is beautiful, I go there sometimes when I’m staying in Caldas da Rainha, though I never went to the beach there – and I sure would not go into that sea (although, it’s the same sea as in the rest of portugal…) 😉

Dartacão was the best cartoon ever made 😛 .
I used to spend a lot of my time in Caladas da Rainha because my dad lived there. He lives in Nazaré now so I don’t go there that much. The problem with the sea there is an huge tectonic fault in the sea that makes it dangerous and causes that huge waves.

oh, good to know. I have a house in Caldas da Rainha, in the middle of nothing, actually. lol

My dad also lived in the middle of nothing. I couldn’t get out of his house without having someone to drive me to places

Yes, it’s so freaking annoying! We mostly go there for christmas and family reunions, but it’s a 15 minute drive inside the mountain to actually arrive at the city… not good

I totally understand your point because I had to deal with the same

DIGIMON DIGITAL MONSTERS! WOO! That show was awesome, but I gotta ask: which version of Dragonball did you watch? The original or DBZ?
Oliver and Company was totally one of my favorite! I loved that movie so much! Though, I can understand why you’d pick Lion King. It was so catchy and colorful. :p
Wow! You live in such a beautiful place and while the waves may be scary, I think it would be really cool to see a powerful force of nature like that. (Perhaps that makes me strange. :p)

I watched DragonBall, DBZ and DBGT.
I loved Oliver & Company but it made me cry every time because Oliver was the only one who wasn’t adopted 😦 .
You’re not strange. It’s beautiful to watch but I will not set one feet in that sea. I’ll watch it from far away =)

OH MY GOSH! Yes! Poor Oliver! I always cried at that part, too, because it’s so sad! He’s so cute! Who wouldn’t want him? *tear*

I can’t understand why no one wanted him but he ended up with Jenny anyway so he got his happy ending 🙂

It seems that way! I don’t take vacations very often, but it seems I have to consider that one in the future!

When I think about the band nowadays is a little bit embarassin especially because our teacher made us sing in front of the class. But it was really funny 🙂
Sintra is really beautiful. You should definitely visit 😀

Woah, those waves look absolutely terrifying! That definitely ignites my huge fear of deep water and drowning! 😱😨

I totaly agree with you. I live there and I always try to not be that close to the sea there. It’s really scary. I don’t know how the surfers keep going there
