Today is thursday which means that is Book Traveling Thursdays, a weekly meme created by me and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. This weekly meme consists in picking a book related to the weekly theme that is announced in the group Goodreads page (if you want to join click here) at the beginning of each month. After that you can write a blog post where you explain why you choose that book and choose different covers from different countries. To make it a little bit easy you are going to choose different editions of the original cover, the cover from your country, your favorite cover, and your least favorite cover. This week theme is We all have those moments of shock when a super unexpected plot twist happens. Choose a book that had a major plot twist that surprised you. I had a few ideas for this week topic but in the end I ended up choosing We Were Liars by E. Lockhart because I think that people should talk a little bit more about this book. As you may imagine this book has a plot twist that I wasn’t expecting (and that I’m not talking about because of spoilers). I was expecting something to happen but not that and that’s the reason why I choose this book. So let’s start this list.
Original Cover:
I like this cover a lot. I think that the image used is perfect for this book and I love how they used the title in most of the cover. I also love the font used and I think that this cover is really beautiful.
Cover from my Country (Portugal):
The portuguese cover is totally different from the original but I still like it. I like the picture that was used and how the girl (probably Cady) is looking to the see with those message in bottles next to her. I think it’s a pretty good cover.
Favorite Covers:
As you might imagine the original and portuguese covers are some of my favorite We Were Liars covers. I also like the cover from Hungary because it has the same feel of the portuguese and I love the colors used.
Least Favorite Covers:
Let’s talk about the bad covers. The first one (Germany) is extremely weird. The guy creeps me out and I wouldn’t buy this book based on this cover. The second cover, from Romania, it’s also a little bit creepy. I don’t like the girl looking right in my eyes. And don’t even make me talk about that par of the guy’s head. The last cover (Bulgaria) for me is the worst one. I don’t know what’s going on in there and for me it doesn’t remind me of this book at all.
So this is it, this week Book Traveling Thursdays. What did you think of these covers? Tell me in the comments 🙂 .
oh my…, those are some bad bad covers…

Uuuuh, We Were Liars would’ve been my second choice for the theme after Cristina’s Red Queen.

We Were Liars was my third choice but I saw Cristina with Red Queen and I also saw someone with City of Bones so I decided to choose this one 🙂 . But We Were Liars has a great plot twist so it was a good choice anyway

I forgot all about City of Bones :O! But now that you reminded me, back in the day I wanted to throw the book against a wall after reading the twist.

Haven’t read We Were Liars, but I’m curious about the twist. Your favorites are definitely the better ones.
