Today is thursday which means that is Book Traveling Thursdays, a weekly meme created by me and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. This weekly meme consists in picking a book related to the weekly theme that is announced in the group Goodreads page (if you want to join click here) at the beginning of each month. After that you can write a blog post where you explain why you choose that book and choose different covers from different countries. To make it a little bit easy you are going to choose different editions of the original cover, the cover from your country, your favorite cover, and your least favorite cover. This week theme is It is Almost Time to go Back to School which means that he have to choose a book that mostly occurs in a high school. For this week theme I decided to choose one of my favorite books ever, The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky.
Original Cover:
This is the cover that I see everywhere. I didn’t like this cover before but it’s something that grew on me and now I actually like it. I like how simple it is and that doesn’t show Charlie’s face.
Cover from my Country (Portugal):
Once again I can’t find the portuguese cover but I’m pretty sure that I saw the book around when the movie was released. I haven’t found the cover but I decided to share the brazilian cover first because it’s written in portuguese and also because I’m pretty sure that the books that I saw a few years ago had a similar cover to this one. Another reason why I decided to share this cover is Logan Lerman. He’s great and I try to use any excuse to have his face in this blog 😛 .
Favorite Cover:
I love both of these covers. They are just beautiful in their own ways. I can’t even find a thing that I don’t like in these covers.
Least Favorite Covers:
I don’t know what these people had in their minds but these covers are just terrible. I don’t understand the german cover. It looks like they wanted something similar to the original cover but they failed miserably. The lithuanian is just weird and I don’t understand how this cover relates to the book itself.
So this is it, this week Book Traveling Thursdays. What did you think of these covers? Tell me in the comments 🙂 .
great minds think alike 😉

Lovely books covers ♡♡♡ Also bit an info to covers. Here in the Philippines, the one with Logan Lerman’s face on it costs approximately 9 dollars. It’s smaller but the one with the other cover only costs like 5 dollars and it’s roughly bigger. #Logic??? Hahaha

It’s the price bring Logan Lerman home in a book cover =P

But in the Percy Jackson book his face is on, it’s the other way around. Aye, Logan Lerman Percy Jackson ♡♡♡

The one with the orange writing is the one I own, I really like the cover even if I don’t like the book much 😀 The blue one with the picture of a girl is just strange.

Haha, I have both the blue one and the one with writing one! My favourite one was the one with writing but when I first went to buy it, they only had the blue one 😛

My favorite it’s also the one with the writing but luckily it was the only one that they had when I bought it =)

I love The Perks of Being A Wallflower. It’s one of my ultimate faves although I wished I actually read it sooner probably in my high school days because it’s definitely relateable. I own the book with the original cover and I personally don’t like it. I find it kind of ugly. HAHA I am same as you. I prefer the one with writing and the blue cover. They look very nice. 🙂

I have the one with the writing andit’s beautiful. But I never saw the original one being sold. It’s either the blue, the one with the writing or the movie tie-in that it’s actually good when compared to other movie tie-ins

Even though I love this book to death, I don’t really like its original cover too much. I mean, it’s… so weird, you know? My favourite is the one with the orange writing in the background. It’s perfect! 😀
