It’s that time of the week again when I bring you the Top 5 Wednesdays, created by gingerreadslainey. If you want to know how T5W works you can go to the Goodreads group by clicking here. This weeks theme is Top 5 Book Series I Wish Had More Books. There aren’t a lot of series that I wanted to have more books because most of the series that I’ve read had a great closure but I was able to find a few for this top. So let’s start this list.
5. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before – Jenny Han
If you’ve read my review for P.S. I Still Love You (here) you might know that I had a few problems with the book but I would love to read something that was years later and mainly from Kitty’s POV because I loved Kitty and she was my favorite character in the series.
4. Anna and the French Kiss – Stephanie Perkins
I think that this series is perfect to have more books. We could have one book from Meredith’s POV or even Calliope. It would be pretty cool and we could hear more about the other characters again.
3. Shatter Me – Tahereh Mafi
Ok… I’m going to be honest here. I just need Warner back to my life so a few more books in this series would be great and I think that Tahereh would find the perfect story to tell next.
2. The Night Circus – Erin Morgenstern
Technically this is not a book series, it’s a stand alone but I would love to read how the circus is a few years later from Bailey’s POV or even better, a prequel from Tsukiko’s POV. I would do anything for a prequel.
1. Harry Potter – J. K. Rowling
Well, I haven’t finish Harry Potter yet but seeing that I started this year it’s pretty good that I only have two books left. However it’s not like I don’t know what’s going to happen, I saw the movies. I think that it would be great to have a prequel about the Marauders or even a sequel about the children. And I promise that I wouldn’t wait so long to read them as I did with the Harry Potter series.
These are some of the book series I wish had more books. What about you? Which books did you included in your top? Tell me in the comments.
I haven’t finished the Anna and the French Kiss trilogy yet, but I know once I do I will be wanting more.

Totally… But I think that it’s because there are few characters left that could have their own story

I agree with you on almost all of them! 🙂

I agree with you on the shatter me trilogy cause I really miss Warner and Kenji too. I haven’t read To all the boys I’ve Loved Before yet but I’m planning to read it soon. 😀

I agree with Shatter Me! I need more Warner in my life. When I finished reading Ignite Me, I honestly thought I was missing some pages in my book or something because the ending was so abrupt! HAHA

Me too… Not only I need more Warner but I also need a proper ending that explains what happened next

Exactly! I felt like the ending was more like the beginning….It’s so weird I wished Tahereh Mafi would have just written one more book and explained what happened after the Reestablishment was taken down….

I haven’t read any of the others, but I know that I don’t want more Harry Potter books. The series is just so good as it is, I don’t want a disliked book to ruin that. I didn’t like “future” stuff at the end of the books (and movies), so I know I don’t want that. I could do with a Marauder’s story, but that’s about it.

I think that there are a lot of stories that J. K. Rowling could tell in the Harry Potter world without including Harry. Probably it would not ruin the books already released to anyone

I agree on everything SO much! Anna’s series is just so sweet and cute and always leaves me with a smile. The way Shatter Me was written is just majorly interesting and the Night Circus – that is one of my favourite books ever! If it would continue, I’d feel like I was in heaven.

Someone should try to convince Erin to write more novels in The Night Circus world =)

I think she thought about it. I read it somewhere on her website. But currently she’s working on something Alice in Wonderland related I think, but I can’t find it anymore where I read that.

Really? I had no idea

She’s been working on that forever and there’s still no info on any progress or what the plot is actually about. Maybe it doesn’t even have anything to do with Alice anymore.

I would love to read more books written by her. I loved The Night Circus. Let’s just hope that all the time we’re waiting means that we’re going to have a great book in the future

It took a while until The Night Circus was ready to be published as well, so I am optimistic 🙂 I love her writing as well!
