Goodreads Synopsis:

At twenty-two years old, Sydney is enjoying a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers that Hunter is cheating on her—and she’s forced to decide what her next move should be.

Soon, Sydney finds herself captivated by her mysterious and attractive neighbor, Ridge. She can’t take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either. They soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one.

A passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance, Maybe Someday will immerse readers in Sydney’s tumultuous world from the very first page.

Review:

If you follow my blog you might know that I absolutely love Colleen Hoover’s books and because I normally hear people saying that this is their favorite Colleen Hoover book I had to read it. Honestly this wasn’t my favorite book that was written by the author but I still liked this book a lot and I don’t even know how to express my feelings about it. The book starts when Sydney, the main character, finds out that her boyfriend is cheating with her best friend. Sydney ends up moving to her neighbor’s, Ridge, house. This is where I found out something that I wasn’t expecting about Ridge (and I’m not telling what it is because it’s better if you find out by yourself). Sydney and Ridge start to connect due to their mutual love for music and start to work together. Because of that they start to develop feelings for each other. This is the part that you think that this is a simple love story. Well, it’s not because life isn’t that simple and there are a few things that happen (mainly a major thing happens). I’m not talking a lot about it because I think this would ruin the experience of reading this book and I’m sorry if this seems a little bit confusing. This is a beautiful story but of course that there are a few things that I don’t like. Sometimes I wouldn’t agree with some of their decisions and that’s the reason why I didn’t give a 5 stars rating to this book.

Of course that in a Colleen Hoover book you needed to have some kind of art included and in this case it was music. I loved how she incorporated the music in the book and the best thing about it: she worked with a musician to create a soundtrack for the book with the songs that Sydney and Ridge wrote in the book.

Overall, this was an amazing book like all of the author’s other books. If you like this type of books you should definitely read it. And prepare for the amazing experience that you are going to have while reading this book.
